Watch a completely restored antique salmon canning line in operation and learn about the fascinating history of the salmon canning industry in Alaska.

Tsirku Canning Co. has recreated a salmon canning line with antique equipment gathered from canneries around the state. Each 1920’s vintage piece has been meticulously reconditioned and is in perfect working order.

The cannery has the only three-piece can reform line left in existence allowing you to see how the old cans were shaped from flat metal pieces into a usable can.

As you follow the cans from shaping to filling to completion you will hear how the salmon canning industry evolved and shaped Alaska's future.
